Dr. Salih Oktar is a founding partner of Oktar & Oktar. A lawyer specialised in criminal law, he is mainly active in the area of commercial crime, including white-collar crime, tax evasion and customs offences.
Dr. Oktar is a member of the governing body of the Turkish Criminal Law Association (TCHD). In the area of commercial law, he provides companies with a wide range of legal consultancy services.

Ayla Oktar is a founding partner of Oktar & Oktar. An expert in intellectual property law, she serves foreign and Turkish clients as legal counsel in litigation and court proceedings, as well as in the registration, renewal, licensing and follow-up of IP rights in Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Her close cooperation with colleagues worldwide has built an optimal basis for offering cost-effective, high-quality professional services.
She advises national and international companies in transactional projects and practises contract law, especially financial leasing agreements for aircraft, vessels and software.

Zeynep Acar

Zeynep Acar, a graduate of Marmara University Faculty of Law, joined Oktar & Oktar in 2008, the same year she was admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association. Since 2023 she has also been a mediator.
She advises clients across all fields of intellectual and industrial property rights, including all proceedings before TÜRKPATENT concerning trademarks, patents, industrial designs and geographical indications, and litigation relating to the acquisition and protection of these rights. She also drafts settlement, licence and co-existence agreements in these fields.
Zeynep has extensive experience in portfolio management, anti-counterfeiting and anti-piracy, particularly for trademarks. She is a sworn translator for German.

Ayşegül Sel Azdemir

Ayşegül Sel Azdemir graduated from Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Law in 2008. In 2010 she was admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association and joined Oktar & Oktar. She is also a mediator specialising in labour law and a sworn translator for English.
The protection of the intellectual and industrial property rights of domestic and international clients, and all related criminal cases, is one of her main areas of responsibility. She handles all types of applications before TÜRKPATENT and follow-up litigation before Turkish courts.
She also supports clients in contract management for sales and leasing, agency, franchising, licensing, distribution, consultancy and service agreements, and advises on corporate matters such as mergers and acquisitions and the establishment of companies, subsidiaries and branches.

Eren Hoşgör

Eren Hoşgör graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2014 and is pursuing a Master's degree in Public Law at Bahçeşehir University. He joined Oktar & Oktar in 2015, when he was admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association, and also provides mediation services.
A member of the Turkish Criminal Law Association, he advises domestic and international clients in litigation and consultancy on a wide range of criminal law matters, with a particular focus on the defence of commercial, banking, cyber and white-collar crime cases.
He has a special interest in electronic communications and data protection law, and provides comprehensive support in administrative and compensation law disputes.

Ahmet Yenisey

Ahmet Yenisey obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Philosophy from the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg, Germany, after attending the Austrian Sankt Georg Gymnasium. A graduate of Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Law, he joined Oktar & Oktar upon his admission to the Istanbul Bar Association in 2022.
He supports the team in the acquisition and protection of intellectual and industrial property rights. His other areas of practice include enforcement proceedings, contract management, lease litigation and advice to domestic and foreign companies.
He is currently pursuing a PhD in philosophy at Galatasaray University.

Prof. Dr. Holm Putzke, LL.M. (Kraków)

Holm Putzke has held a professorship in criminal law at the University of Passau since 2010. Since 2016 he has also been an extraordinary professor of criminal law, criminal procedure and economic criminal law at EBS University for Business and Law in Wiesbaden, and since 2023 a visiting professor at Bahçeşehir University, Istanbul.
He studied law at Ruhr University Bochum, completing his first state examination in 1997 and the second in 2002, and received his doctorate from Ruhr University in 2003. Jagiellonian University in Kraków awarded him the LL.M. degree in 2009.
He has worked as a consultant for the EU and OSCE in Estonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kazakhstan, and as an expert for the German Bundestag and the Bavarian State Parliament. Alongside his academic work he practises as a criminal defence lawyer and is a judge and deputy chairman of the Federal Sports and Arbitration Court of the Bund Deutscher Radfahrer e.V.
